I was recognised at the Lockhart Shire Business Excellence Awards as the winner of the Young Entrepreneur category. It was an honor to be nominated by so many of you (you know who you are!) and it is a privilege to be able to work closely with so many vibrant, interesting and innovative businesses and brands. Thank you to the Young Entrepreneur category sponsor, The Rock Progress Association, to Lockhart Shire Council for organising and to The Rock Memorial Bowling Club for hosting. Congratulations also to the other category winners and finalists.

Rachel Viski is a digital artist living the dream on 100 acres at The Rock in NSW.

She is lead designer at Minta Viski, a full-service design and digital studio which exists to help take brands into the future to deliver on commercial and organisational objectives.

Specific services they deliver include branding, style manuals, website design, marketing collateral (print and digital advertisements, brochures, flyers etc), signage, stationery suites and social media content.

In addition to Rachel’s commercial design services, she also operate as an interdisciplinary artist undertaking commission-based artwork. Her latest body of ongoing work stemmed from an Expression of Interest submitted in 2015 to the Murrumbidgee Local Health Districts Arts Strategy Panel as part of the $282 million hospital redevelopment. She was successful in being the sole artist selected to transform 240m2 of space within the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital’s Children’s Ward into a healing and hopeful environment.

Due to this ongoing work and her service offering at Minta Viski, Rachel was awarded Lockhart Shire Council’s Young Entrepreneur at the 2018 Business Excellence Awards.
